1.1 These requirements cover the performance during fire tests of pre-engineered fire extinguishing system units intended for the protection of commercial cooking equipment for restaurants, cafeterias and other similar venues. For installation requirements, see the following documents: NFPA 17, Standard for Dry Chemical Extinguishing Systems; NFPA 96, Standard for Ventilation Control and Fire Protection of Commercial Cooking Operations; and NFPA 17A, Standard for Wet Chemical Extinguishing Systems. Note that local authorities having jurisdiction should be consulted prior to installation. 1.2 Pre-engineered fire extinguishing system units, agents, or both are required to comply also with the requirements for construction and performance as applicable to specific types, designs, sizes, and arrangements; and all such additional requirements which apply are not within the scope of these requirements for fire tests. This new edition also includes the following revisions and clarifications: 1. Revision of Title and Scope, 2. Cooking Areas Protected With Multiple Nozzles, 3. Drip Pans For Indicated Appliances, 4. Fabricated Appliances/Commercially Available Unit, 5. Appliances with Faster Cooling Rates than 5?F per Minute, 6. Clarify Current Test Procedures. Per comments received, the proposed addition of Installation Instructions was not incorporated in this edition.
This Standard is used for EG-inspection tested domestic cooking appliances burning gas according to EN 30-1-1, EN 30-1-2, EN 30-1-3 and EN 30-1-4. It contains requirements and testing the fitness for purpose requirements of hobs, ovens and grills. The definitions apply to all these devices or components, independently of the fact whether they are alone used or are built into a combination, even if parts of this combination are not operated with gaseous fuels (e. g. combined gas electric cookers).
This standard applies to flued oil stoves with one or more vaporizing burners (hereafter referred to as\"stoves\") as used for individual heating in the domestic field and having either a draught regulator or a combustion air limiter as defined in 3.13 and a nominal heating capacity of not more than 15 kW.This standard also applies to appliances with fan assisted vaporizin9 burners. This standard does not cover-- Built-in appliances-- appliances equipped with an atomizing burner appliances incorporating a boiler or connected to a water system.According to the type of fuels used in the country of destination, the stoves are supplied for use with either: fuel oil with a maximum kinematic viscosity of 6,0 mm<(UP)2>/s at 20 ℃or kerosene with a flash point of not less than 40 ℃.
This standard specifies the construction and performance characteristics as well as the requirements and methods of test for the safety and marking of domestic cooking appliances, capable of using the combustible gases defined in EN 30-1-1:1998 and EN 30-1-1:1998/A1:1999, having one or more enclosed covered burners under a glass ceramic panel, referred to in the text as \"appliances\".This standard is intended to be used in conjuntion with EN 30-1-1:1998 and EN 30-1-1:1998/A1:1999 or EN 30-1-4:2002, and, where appropriate, EN 30-2-1:1999.It does not cover all of the safety requirements and methods of test that are specific to forced convection ovens and/or grills.Unless excluded specifically hereafter, this standard covers appliances or their components, whether or not the component parts are independent or incorporated into a single appliance, even if the other heating components of the appliance use electrical energy (e.g. gas-electric-cookers).This standard includs requirements covering the electrical safety of equipment incorporated in the appliance that is assosiated with gas. It does not include requirements covering the electrical safety of electricallly-heated component parts of their associated equipment 1).This Standard does not apply to:- outdoor appliances;- appliances connected to a combustion products evacuation duct;- appliances having a pyrolytic gas oven;- appliances having automatic burner control systems that have a second safety time, or control one or more burners that incorporate a separate ignition burner;- appliances having an uncovered burner or a non-enclosed covered burner;- appliances equipped with air-gas ratio controls;- appliances with more than one fan for the supply of combustion air and/or for the evacuation of products of combustion from a combustion chamber;- appliances supplied at pressures greater than those difined in 7.1.2.This standard does not cover the requirements relating to third family gas cylinders, their regulators and their connection. This standard only covers type testing.
This European Standard specifies the construction and performance characteristics as well as the requirements and methods of test for the safety and marking of domestic cooking appliances, capable of using the combustrble gases defined in EN 30-1-1-2008+A2-2010.that have one or more burners with an automatic burner control system, referred to in the text as\"appliances\".
This Standard EN 203-2-3:2015 specifies the test methods and requirements for the construction and operating characteristics relating to the safety, rational use of energy and marking, of commercial gas heated boiling pans. It also states test methods to check those characteristics. This Standard has to be used in conjunction with EN 203-1 Gas heated catering equipment - Part 1: General safety rules. This part 2 supplements or modifies the corresponding clauses of EN 203-1.
This standard specify DIN EN 203-1 about requirements and testing at gas fired Hot water heaters for beverage.
This sub-part of part 2 supplements or modifies the corresponding clauses of EN 203-1, so as to convert it into the European Standard for salamanders and rotisseries using gaseous fuels. It specifies requirements for the construction and operating characteristics relating to the safety and marking, of salamanders and rotisseries. It also states test methods to check those characteristics. This European Standard does not cover rational use of energy. The main changes compared to the former version are the addition of a marking relating to the hot surface risk and testing method for Temperature of the receptacle for cooking juices and fats.
