This part EN 1993 gives design methods for the design of joints subject to predominantly static loading using steel grades S235,S275, S355,S420,S450 and S460. provides basic design rules for the structural design of unstiffened and stiffened plated which form part of plated structures such as silos, tanks or containers, that are loaded by out of plane actions. It is intended to be used in conjuction with EN 1993-1-1 and the relevant application atandards.
This European Standard defines terms for steel products according to:a)shape and dimensions;and b)appearance and surface condition.NOTE 1 Although the products are generally defined independently of their end uses or manufacturing processes,it bas sometimes been necessary to make reference to these criteria.NOTE 2 All dimensions given in this European Standard are nominal.
1.1 This European Standard specifies requirements for flat products made of weldable, hot-rolled, high yield strength alloy quality and special steels for cold forming. Part 1 of this European Standard specifies the general delivery conditions. Part 2 of this European Standard specifies the delivery conditions for thermomechanically rolled steels in the grades given in Table 1 (chemical composition) and Table 2 (mechanical properties) of Part 2. Part 3 of this European Standard specifies the delivery conditions for normalized or normalized rolled steels in the grades given in Table 1 (chemical composition) and Table 2 (mechanical properties) of Part 3. 1.2 This European Standard does not apply to products for pressure vessels and products for which other European Standards exist or European Standards dealing with steels for general structural applications are being prepared: Hot-rolled products of structural steels (see EN 10025-1 to -6). Hot finished structural hollow sections of non-alloy and fine grain steels (see EN 10210-1).
The project covers hot finished structural hollow sections in thicknesses up to and including 65 mm of circular, square or rectangular form and applies to hollow sections formed hot with or without subsequent heat treatment or formed cold with subsequent heat treatment to obtain equivalent metallurgical conditions to those obtained in the hot formed product.#,,#
This part of this European Standard specifies the technical delivery requirements for cold formed welded structural hollow sections of circular, square or rectangular form and applies to structural hollow sections formed cold without subsequent heat treatment.#,,#
