This Report addresses the following items in relation to the future development of the FS: FS technology trends overview; development of the role of FS systems in telecommunication networks; FS band usage trends in some countries; frequency sharing studies with other services; possible future applications in the FS.
This Report presents an overview of Inspections Procedures in response to Question ITU-R 225/1 regarding inspection techniques and procedures. The Question relates to how administrations proceed in planning and conducting radio station inspections. The purpose of this Report is to provide general guidelines for planning and performing inspection activities on various types of radio stations. Inspection activities often include review and verification of both technical and administrative conditions assigned to a radio station or other spectrum user. Although the term “l(fā)icensed” is used throughout the document, this term can be considered here to include not only stations with licences issued by the regulatory authority, but also other authorized spectrum users (such as those operating with “l(fā)icence exempt” devices like low-power radios and RF devices operating under equipment standards approval). The primary focus of this report is to consider inspections that are conducted “on-site”, by visiting the transmitter location. Included in Annexes are some specific examples in certain services, toprovide examples of howthe general guidelines can be applied. This Report should be considered a general guidance document for inspections planning.
The aim of this Report is to show how the FS could be used at different hierarchical levels of the transport network of IMT-2000, in order to ensure the connections between base stations, and between base stations and higher-level stations within this transport network. This Report provides an example of the use of the FS in the transport network of IMT-2000.

This Report contains propagation aspects, system design parameters, possible applications and other technical/operational characteristics, which are required for the implementation of fixed wireless systems in the frequency ranges 57 GHz to 130 GHz. The applications include specific examples of outdoor/indoor wireless connections taking advantage of these frequency bands (i.e. 60 GHz (57-64 GHz), 70 GHz (71-76 GHz), 80 GHz (81-86 GHz), 95 GHz (92-95 GHz) and 120 GHz (110-130 GHz)). The example systems in the 120 GHz case study, actually cover systems in the 110-130 GHz band. It is intended that future versions of this Report would be needed.
