This standard deals with sanitary appliances and states verifications methods. It contains data and information for the acoustic planning and execution of technical equipment.
This standard deals with installations for the separation of light liquides (e. g. oil and petrol), i.e. those with a density up to 0.95 g/cm3 from waste water by means of gravity and/or coalescence. This standard is not primarily intended to apply to installations that are required to treat large quantities of trade effluent (e. g., oil refinery effluent). This standard may, however, still be appropriate for this purpose depending on local requirements.
This European Standard is applicable to the investigation and assessment of drain and sewer systems outside buildings. It is applicable to drain and sewer systems, which operate essentially under gravity, from the point where the sewage leaves a building or roof drainage system,or enters a road gully,to the point where it is discharged into a treatment works or receiving water. Drains and sewers below buildings are included provided that they do not form part of the drainage system of the building.
This standard establishes general principles for execution of piles: - which have a small diameter (smaller than 300 mm outside diameter for bored piles and smaller than 150 mm for displacement piles); - and which can be typically installed by means of small rigs.
This document includes amendment A1. This European Standard provides the specific methods and requirements for the assessments of social performance of a building while taking into account the building's functionality and technical characteristics. This European Standard applies to all types of buildings, both new and existing. The assessment of social performance of a building, in this first generation of the standard, concentrates on measures related to a building`s occupants and other users. This European Standard is intended to support the decision making process and documentation of the assessment of the social performance of a building. In this Standard, the method of assessment of the social performance of a building is based on a life cycle approach. In this first version of the standard, the social dimension of sustainability concentrates on the assessment of aspects and impacts for the use stage of a building. The standard gives requirements for: - the description of the object of assessment; - the system boundary that applies at the building level; - the list of indicators and procedures for the application of these indicators; - the presentation of the results in reporting and communication; - the data necessary for the application of the standard, and - verification. This standard does not set the rules for how building assessment schemes may provide valuation methods. Nor does it prescribe levels, classes or benchmarks of performance. The interpretation and valuation of the results of the assessment are not within the scope of this standard. Note: pre-use and after-use stages of the building lifecycle are not covered in this first generation of standards.
This British Standard provides a framework for the assessment of social, economic and environmental issues in the sustainable use of materials. Theframework can be applied to all parts of the supply chain and is intended tosupport decision making about the sustainable use of any type of material. This standard covers consideration of:a) the social, economic and environmental aspects throughout the materiallifecycle, covering:1) sourcing of materials;2) conversion of materials into products;3) performance of a product over its functional lifetime;4) end of life of the product and either the reuse, remanufacture, recycling or disposal of the product; and5) end of life of a material and either the reuse, remanufacture, recyclingor disposal of the material, with particular emphasis on social performance in the use phase of aproduct life and environmental performance over the full life cycle, andtaking into consideration the longer term and local economic issues;b) how to balance these aspects against stakeholder priorities in terms ofsustainable development;c) guidance on the use of decision support tools to assess the relativesustainability of material choice; andd) the importance of data quality when carrying out a sustainabilityassessment.NOTE This standard assumes that the project brief and material design options havebeen agreed prior to the use of the assessment framework. The standard does not provide:i) comparisons between specific materials;ii) advice on the properties of materials and products; oriii) recommendations on specific software tools to support the evaluation andcomparisons of social, economic and environmental aspects.
This European Standard specifies a method to determine the influence of factory made cementitious products onthe odour, flavour, colour and turbidity of test waters after contact with the products. This European Standard is applicable to factory made cementitious products, e.g. cement mortar linings to metallicpipes, tanks, concrete pipes etc. intended to be used for the transport and storage of water for humanconsumption, including raw water used for the production of drinking water.
